8 Summer Dresses for the Working Woman

Summer is finally here, from the high temperatures pitching to the non-stop daydreaming of sandy beaches and exotic vacation destinations… Unfortunately, for most of us working women, summer is just another season. We have to wake up, go to work, and look presentable despite the warm weather…

However, this shouldn’t keep us from looking stylish and embracing some lighter fabrics, colors, and prints in our work attire… Midi dresses can work amazingly well with office etiquette when we add a pair of nude pumps. Women often get trapped in the same style and moody colors even during the warm summer months fearing that a vibrant color dress might look a bit odd and out of place. However, one shouldn’t be afraid to incorporate some fun colors and prints into their everyday work wardrobe, especially during the summer.

Today I am sharing with all the CgC Daily lovely readers 8 summer dresses for the working women. They have the right length, they are all midi dresses from my favorite retailers that won’t break your bank, and they will add a splash of fun to your everyday work wardrobe. Personally, my favorite dress is the ASOS Closet Midi Skater in Scuba. I’ve had a crazy obsession for scuba skirts and dresses. They are flattering and wonderfully transition from the office to a date night.

Lately, I have been trying to incorporate some prints in my office wardrobe by adding floral. Nothing yells spring/summer  more than a floral dress, such as my top ASOS picks. These dresses have more of a subtle floral print – great for the office – and can easily be worn to a summer wedding with some beautiful strappy sandals, a clutch and a statement jewelry. One should definitely get the most out of their wardrobe with pieces that can be worn all year long and for a variety of occasions.

Last but not least, a LWD can easily replace your trusted LBD during the summer, and if you don’t have one, you should definitely consider adding one to your wardrobe. It will be your go-to dress for those extremely busy days in the office filled with back-to-back meetings and appointments. It is an easy and versatile piece that you will get to wear a lot. Consider replacing your LBD with a white/ivory one this summer.

What are your favorite summer dresses for the office? Would you consider adding some color & some fun “quite” prints in your office attire?
