Nothing seems more confusing than a sentence with comfort and fashion right next to each other. We all have been told a million times that beauty is pain, but when you are working a 9 to 5 job, that pain is not an option. The quest for the perfect pair of heels that were stylish, yet work appropriate, led me to discover practical shoes. Practical shoes?? (Basically it felt like I found a unicorn) Nothing is more satisfying than receiving a compliment from your extremely stylish coworker about your new pumps. You will be the talk of the office in these shoes, all the while knowing you made style comfortable. To fully cover the range of options for work heels, I broke them down into three main categories:

First up is the professional platform. Platform are a sneaky way to add height and loads of comfort. They allow your three inch heels to feel more like two.

I love these Calvin Klein pumps ($69.95). These will match every outfit and become a staple in your wardrobe.

The mini heel is making a comeback in the world of fashion. It is no longer reserved for your little old grandma. Besides, with a nickname like the kitten heel, it has to be the perfect combo of innocent and sexy, right?

Diane Von Furstenberg created the perfect kitten heel ($137). In a fun blue suede these shoes will demand a second look.

A huge trend lately has been the ankle strap. Lucky for us, ladies, this strap gives us some added security. It helps your shoes stay on and supports you every step of the way.

This versatile nude from Nordstrom ($69.95) is bold, stylish and comfortable.
After searching high and low for the perfect heel, I discovered there are more ways to be comfortable than I had assumed. The best part of these picks is that they all don’t scream “I just bought these at the walking store in the mall”.

Comfort, meet fashion, I think you two are going to get along just fine.
